Roanoke Lookout Point

Stairway of stone planting beds

The neighborhood wanted to provide a better user experience for its community when traveling up/down the stairs while improving the safety of the cliff. The solution was a series of native stone retaining walls that would create small planting beds along the stairway. At the top of the stairs, roses line the cliff edge to provide a colorful safety barrier. During the construction, invasive species and loose rocks were removed to help restore the cliff area.
