This homeowner had a front yard that lacked curb appeal. They wanted to create a new yard that was a native pollinator/bird garden. The solution was a native dry-stack stone wall that helped deal with the sloped front yard but also created space for plants to grow. A combination of native ground covers, wildflowers, grasses and shrubs help create a pollinator/bird paradise within the city. A new sedge lawn in front of the stone wall creates a low maintenance solution to the typical lawn that helps tie this yard within the neighborhood.
