Contemporary Patio Leads to Relaxation

This homeowner had a back patio that was old, lacked privacy and didn’t reflect the remodeling the homeowner was doing on the inside of the house. The solution included a new patio with wood privacy screen, movable wood screen/planters and a transition area into the backyard. Ipe wood was used to cover the exterior side of fireplace to provide a clean, modern look and on the wood screen. The movable wood screen/planters allow the homeowner to control how much privacy they would like as well as the size of the patio area. The transition area includes a grid of pavers surrounded by Mexican beach cobble that will lead to the future phases of the contemporary backyard transformation.
